Students will not only learn about service learning project, but the impact they will make through their service learning project. The OCON Away website is essential to helping students understand the difference between all the services available to help make a difference.
I think that the Centers and OCON Away are great resources that will give the students excellent visuals of issues concerning our community. The centers will tie everything in to what we have been learning and the OCON Away Website will make these lessons real to the students. I am very excited about exploring these with my students and beginning our learn and serve project. The OCON Away website and centers will be a good change for the students and should keep them engaged.

The OCON Away website will really help the children research their ideas in a child-friendly way. It will help them gain vocabulary with the boldfaced words that have links. They will just love using the technology. The students will enjoy using a variety of sources while doing the Centers in Lesson 5.
The centers will give the kids some good background knowledge. THe OCON Away website seems very kid friendly and will give the kids alot of rich usefull information without wasting time just surfing the web!!
